Wolli Creek and the Bonar Street precinct are undergoing a transformation from a predominantly industrial precinct into a high quality, high density urban environment.
This study was conducted in two parts. Firstly to form a vision for the suburb which reconnected with the Cooks River foreshore, while also highlighting the heritage of its industrial past. This was achieved through detailed analysis of catchments, ecologies and pedestrian connections. Detailed design of parks, streets and civic spaces added depth to this vision. The second stage was to compile a technical manual which provides guidelines and materials for implementing these schemes.
